Monday was a shocking day for Jolly LLB 3 as it ended with collections of Rs 5 crore net in India. It was a massive fall from the weekend which registered Rs 52 crore net approximately. The numbers of Sunday were affected due to the India-Pakistan cricket match and if not for that match, the weekend numbers may well have been up about Rs 3-4 crore at least. Nevertheless, it was a solid weekend and the positive word-of-mouth hinted at a solid trend for the weekdays.
However, that wasn't to be as the film fell flat on Monday, it's first working day that was also the first day of Navratri. Movie ticketing apps did offer multiple discounts for the film and this worsened the film's collections as the occupancy levels had already come down significantly when compared to Friday. Ideally, the film had to register in the Rs 8-10 crore net range to have hopes of emerging a clean hit at the box office. With that out of the window, Jolly LLB 3 will now hope to ensure that it doesn't emerge as a flop at the box office. For that, how it trends for the rest of this week is crucial and hence, all eyes were on its Tuesday's numbers.
On its fifth day in India, Jolly LLB 3 has taken a slightly better start when compared to Monday. It isn't a significant jump but there is growth nevertheless. The problem, though, is that the ticket rates are completely back to normal and it means that the collections will be on the lower side. The main objective for the film will be to equal Monday's collections and if possible, go slightly above it if possible. The morning shows in the country on Tuesday saw an occupancy of 10 percent, which is much better than Monday that saw only 5 percent occupancy during the same time.
The noon shows have shown a much better trend to Monday, with occupancies ranging around 20 percent on an average. On Monday, the same shows only had an occupancy of 10-11 percent. With the first half of the day showing good signs, it does give hope for collections to be stable, as the evening and night shows are expected to do moderate business. Also, there isn't an India match today and that means that we will get to know the film's real status in today's evening/night shows. As per early trends, Jolly LLB 3 is set to cross Rs 5 crore net in India on Tuesday and has an outside chance of touching Rs 6 crore net if the evening and night shows operate at decent levels.
This trend suggests some respite for Jolly LLB 3 after the drastic fall on Monday but it will have to have similar holds on Wednesday and Thursday too, and then hope for a good trends across the second weekend.
