'Jolly LLB 3' is set to cross Rs 50 crore net in India on Sunday (September 21) | JioStar

As reported yesterday, Jolly LLB 3 endured a superstrong second day at the domestic box office, collecting Rs 19.50 crore net at the domestic box office. The collections are approximately 50 percent higher than the opening day and it suggests that the word-of-mouth amongst the public is on the positive side. For content-oriented films, it is imperative to show an upward trend across the weekend as such films generally don't open big, which was the case with Jolly LLB 3 as well. The good news for the film is that one box is ticked and now it needs to have a better trend on Sunday to close out a solid weekend.

As per trends, Jolly LLB 3 on its third day looks set for a bigger day than its previous two days. If we look at the halfway mark of all three days, Sunday is set to be the biggest day for the film with the Rs 20 crore net sure to be breached. The one obstacle in the film's path is the India-Pakistan Asia Cup match that begins from 8 pm onwards. While the political scenario in the country currently suggests that the rivalry doesn't have the same hype, it could still be a factor that could affect Jolly LLB 3. Noon shows across the country showed an occupancy of 60 percent and if the same tempo continues, the collection could be in the Rs 22-23 crore net range, maybe more too.

Morning shows on the third day opened to approximately 25-30 percent, which is a fantastic start as Friday (12 percent) and Saturday (20 percent) had lesser average occupancy. The noon show have shot up significantly, recording an average of occupancy of 60 percent across the country. This is sensational tempo for the first half of the day and if it can manage to stay at this level, even Rs 25 crore net isn't out of question. For now, the film will hope to get past Rs 20 crore net and finishing around the Rs 22 crore nett range will be ideal with anything more being an absolute bonus.

The weekend figures for the film are set to breach the Rs 50 crore net mark and if the film can show the same trend as noon in the evening and night shows, it could go past Rs 55 crore net mark. If so, it could challenge or cross Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par which clocked Rs 56 crore net in its opening weekend. The weekend trend for Jolly LLB 3 does suggest a steady hold on Monday for the film and guarantees that the film is on its way to HIT status.
