Kollywood will see 10 films hitting the theatres on September 12 and analysts feel that none of the movie will get enough screens. Madharaasi, which will enter its second week on Friday, is also likely to struggle for screen space in the coming week.
Produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies at Rs 180 crore budget, Madharaasi, also spelt as Madharasi, has collected Rs 100 crore in pre-release business. Released on September 5, the gross domestic collection of Madharaasi was reported to be Rs 55.16 crore.
How much did Madharaasi earn on Day 7?
Madharaasi has seen a drop in net domestic collections since Monday and has raked in Rs 68 lakh on Day 7 till 5 pm. In total, the India net collection for the AR Murugadoss movie stood at Rs 47.68, according to Sacnilk.

The Sivakarthikeyan movie minted Rs 13.65 crore on Day 1, Rs 11 crore on Day 2 and Rs 10 crore on Day 3. However, after the first weekend, fewer moviegoers watched the movie, with just Rs 4.15 crore collection on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday marked further decline with Rs 3.2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore earned respectively.
Madharaasi is likely to beat the lifetime collection of Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life (Rs 48.18 crore) and Madha Gaja Raja (Rs 48.7 crore).
With Madharaasi, AR Murugadoss and Sivakarthikeyan are collaborating for the first time. The cast also includes Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth Santhosh, Monisha Vijay, Thalaivasal Vijay, Rishi Rithvik, Prem Kumar, and Shabeer Kallarakkal.
