Tiger Shroff is back on the big screen with his latest offering, Baaghi 4, which hit theaters on Friday (September 5). Given the popularity of the Baaghi franchise, this was a film that had reasonable buzz amongst the masses. On its opening day at the Indian box office, Baaghi 4 has taken a decent start and early estimates suggest a double-digit opening for the Tiger Shroff-starrer which also carries an 'A' certificate for excessive violence.

Baaghi 4 took a moderate start at the ticket windows, registering an occupancy of 22 percent in the morning shows. There was a slight jump in the afternoon shows which reported an average occupancy of 26.50  percent. The evening shows have further shown growth but again, the percentage increase is very minimal, indicating a mixed response from the audience. The evening shows are running at an average of 28 percent across India.

The trends suggest an opening day in the vicinity of approximately Rs.11.50 crores net gross with the final numbers likely to vary about 5-10 percent either ways depending on how the night shows fare in the interior regions. If we look at the first day collections of films post-pandemic in general, this isn't a bad start for Baaghi 4 but when compared to its previous installments, the opening day figures are definitely below the mark.

In fact, the trends for Baaghi 4 suggest a lower opening than the first installment Baaghi which collected Rs.11.93 crores back in 2016. The second part, Baaghi 2, remains the biggest opener in the franchise by a country mile, with a phenomenal start of Rs.25 crores net gross in 2018. The third installment, Baaghi 3, released around the time that COVID19 was about to take full effect across the country. Yet, it had a strong first day with Rs.17.50 crores net gross.

The producers of Baaghi 4 have also given a 'Buy 1 Get 1' free offer through BookMyShow, to attract the audiences.
