Lokah Chapter One: Chandra is creating havoc at the Kerala Box Office as per early trends on the third day of release. Armed with extremely positive reviews and an increase in screen count from Saturday (August 30), this fantasy action film featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in lead roles is running riots at the ticket windows. As per early estimates, the film is comfortably going to record its best single day collection, well above its second day gross of ₹3.41 crores.
A figure of ₹4.5 crores looks a bare minimum, considering that the second day's numbers have already been covered by the tracked figures alone with the late evening and night shows still left. With the reception it has received and the festival weekend about to start, sky is the limit for the film. Breaching the ₹5 crore mark on Saturday isn't impossible either, and should be breached on Sunday regardless.

Meanwhile, Hridayapoorvam is hanging on at the box office, but is operating at a much lesser level than Lokah Chapter One: Chandra. While Mohanlal is arguably the biggest superstar in Mollywood, the genre of the film being a feel-good family entertainer means that it was always bound to struggle against a large-scale action film. Hridayapoorvam has registered a jump on its third day, which suggests that it should get a long run in theaters but the collections are likely to be steady rather than earth-shattering.
As per early estimates, the Mohanlal-starrer directed by Sathyan Anthikadu, is set to breach the ₹3 crore mark for the second time in three days and by the look of things, should have a solid Sunday as well. The film is carrying decent audience reports and Mohanlal's purple patch should be able to carry the film at the box office.
As far as worldwide collections go, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra has overtaken Hridayapoorvam after a stupendous day two that saw an approximate 85 percent jump in collections across the globe. Hridayapoorvam, meanwhile, maintained its pace at the box office to ensure another hit at the box office for Mohanlal.
Two days worldwide collections:
Lokah Chapter One: Chandra - ₹18.88 crores
Hridayapoorvam - ₹16.05 crores
