Police in Kochi have registered a case against actress Lakshmi Menon and three others for the alleged abduction and assault of an IT employee. According to the complaint filed by the employee, the man had gotten into a fight at a pub after which he was abducted and beaten.
According to the complaint, the actress was also accompanied by her friends Mithun, Aneesh, and Sonamol, who all reside in Kochi, and have all been taken into police custody. Lakshmi is absconding, and the Ernakulam Town North police are still searching for the actress.
Who is Lakshmi Menon?
Lakshmi Menon, 29, has appeared in both Malayalam and Tamil films. One of her most notable performances was in the Tamil film Kumki. Her last work was an appearance in the Ronth directed by Shahi Kabir.
She started her career as a model and worked in television advertisements for brands like Fair and Lovely and Josco Jeweller. Her father is an artist and mother was a dance teacher. She is also a dancer.

Her transition into film came with her debut appearance in the Malayalam film 'Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya'. She was an eighth grader at the time. Her first Tamil appearance was a year later in the 2012 movie Sundara Pandiayan. She bagged several awards for her critically acclaimed role in the film, including Best Female Debut at the 60th Filmfare Awards.
Over the years, she has won two Filmfare awards, two SIIMA awards, and has been nominated for two more.
