Rajesh Keshav, 49, popular actor and television anchor, is currently in a critical condition after collapsing from a cardiac arrest. He is undergoing treatment at the Kochi Lakeshore hospital. Hospital sources have said that they are monitoring the actors health.
Many stars and colleagues are now sending prayers for Rajesh’s recovery, Manorama reported. Actor Pratap Jayalakshmi said on a Facebook post that Rajesh had collapsed at the end of a program at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kochi on Sunday night. He was taken to the hospital within 15-20 minutes of collapsing.
The doctors say he collapsed due to a cardiac arrest. The actor has gone through an angioplasty, an emergency procedure and is currently on a ventilator. He has not responded except for occasional small movements. According to Pratap, the doctors had suspected that the actor's brain had been slightly affected by the cardiac issue.
“He can't be on a ventilator like this, somebody who performs so brilliantly on stage. If we all come together, he will get up. There should be strong prayers and love for our friend, who should fill the stage like before. There is nothing more to say now. He must come back. He will come back. Pls come back, my dearest buddy,” he said on the post.
A houshold name in Kerala, Rajesh Keshav has been an anchor at many events and starred in television, reality and talk shows. He was also known as RK. He also has two more projects lined up for release: Shero and Oru Vadakkan Therottam.
Since the news broke many actors, collegues, fans and netizens have posted messages hoping for his recovery.
