Aneet-Padda-Saiyaara

On Sunday, Aneet Padda surprised fans with a slow, instrumental rendition of the 'Saiyaara' title track with her father Navdeep Padda, who joined in midway. In the video, which has now registered around 7.7 million views on Instagram, Padda also demonstrates her guitar skills as she softly croons the hit song. Aneet captioned the video, "The singing may be rusty but the love isn’t."

The original song was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nizami to lyrics by Irshad Kamil, and sung by Faheem Abdullah.

Last month, an AI-generated 'Kishore Kumar' version of the track did the rounds on social media leading many to assume that the song was originally crooned by the legendary singer and that the one in Mohit Suri's film was a copy.

However, discerning netizens later discovered that the track was rendered using AI technology by musician and producer named Anshuman Sharma, on his YouTube channel, along with musician RJ Kisna.

"The full version is finally here! We converted the vocals sung amazingly by RJ Kisna into Kishore da's voice using AI, and I produced the retro background music. Let me know if you all want a breakdown of how I do these retro versions," he had posted then.

Meanwhile, Saiyaara, which is still running in theatres a month after its premiere, has minted ₹327.65 crore in India alone, according to Sacnilk. Worldwide, the film has reportedly grossed a total of  ₹566.65 crore against an estimated  budget of ₹40-50 crore.

The Yash Raj Films-backed romantic drama, which struck a deep emotional chord with audiences, especially with younger viewers, is expected to hit Netflix on September 12, 2025 — almost two months after its theatrical release. However, no official announcement has been made by YRF or Netflix. The update was mentioned in an Instagram story reposted by the film's casting director, Shanoo Sharma, hinting that the film will indeed hit streaming on the aforementioned date. The makers are expected to make the date official soon.
