The horror comedy Ready or Not: Here I Come, the sequel to Ready or Not, is hitting theatres on April 10 2026, as announced by Searchlight Pictures on Thursday. Along with Samara Weaving, the ensemble includes Kathryn Newton, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Olivia Cheng and David Cronenberg.
The original Ready or Not, released in 2019, revolves around a young bride who is forced to play a murderous game on the wedding night as part of an ancient family deal with the devil. The film, critically acclaimed with an 89% tomatometer and with a gross of 28 million dollars at the domestic box office, was a commercially and critical success. Additionally, the film grossed more than $57 million against a $6 million budget.
Searchlight president Mathew Greenfield speaks of the sequel: “We’re beyond excited to make another film with the phenomenal Radio Silence. With Ready or Not: Here I Come, we get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices and bring audiences a fresh take that’s every bit as twisted and fun as the first one. This is for those who’ve been waiting, and those who didn’t see it coming.”
Richard Ruiz and Cornelia Burleigh are overseeing the project for Searchlight, according to the entertainment outlet The Hollywood Reporter.
