After delivering two solid hits — Chhaava and Bhool Chuk Maaf — Maddock Films is back with another comeback, igniting the charm, chemistry, and cinematic magic with their third release of the year, the romantic comedy Param Sundari, which marks the first-ever on-screen pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor..
The makers dropped the 56-second teaser on Thursday, offering a glimpse into the love story where Param, a charming man from North India, falls for Sundari, a lively young woman from Kerala. An ultimate North-meets-South romance, portraying the blend of cultural nuances and heartfelt emotions.
Directed by Tushar Jalota, the filmmaker behind Dasvi, this film promises to go beyond the usual romantic lore. With music composed by the dynamic duo Sachin-Jigar, lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya topped with the melody of Sonu Nigam, Param Sundari is set to hit all the right chords. The film is backed by producer Dinesh Vijan, the man behind hits like Bhediya, Stree 2, and Munjya.
The teaser was captioned on Instagram stating: “Where North’s fire meets South’s grace, it calls for the biggest love story of the year! Dinesh Vijan presents Param Sundari, a love story directed by Tushar Jalota, coming to cinemas on 25th July 2025.”
On the work front, Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Arun Katyal’s action thriller Yodha. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, the film also starred Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna in prominent roles.
Janhvi Kapoor made her last appearance in the Jr. NTR-led action film Devara: Part 1. She is currently filming Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, where she stars opposite Varun Dhawan.
