Kannada star Darshan's minor son reacts to cyberbullying after arrest of his father

Says cursing him won't change anything

Ever since the arrest of popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa in connection with a murder, his son, 15-year-old Vinish Darshan has reportedly been facing cyberbullying.

Vinish appears to have several Instagram accounts including a fan page for his father. The youngster used an Instagram account with over 70,000 followers to vent out his feelings.

Vinish said he has been facing cyberbullying at a time when his family needs the support of the actor's fans and added that cursing at him will not change anything.

"Thank you all for all the bad comments and offensive language towards my father and not considering that I am a 15-year-old with feelings, and even during this hard time when my mom and dad required support, cursing at me won't change that(sic)," he wrote.

Darshan, his friend actor Pavithra Gowda, and 12 other accused are in police custody till June 17 for the murder of Renukaswamy for derogatory comments against Gowda.

Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP leader C.P. Yogeshwar claimed that Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and his brother and former MP D.K. Suresh had planned to field Darshan as the Congress candidate in the upcoming Channapatna assembly bypoll.

The Channapatna seat fell vacant following the election of its representative JD(S) leader and former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to Lok Sabha.

"Their surprise candidate is behind bars now, I know who their surprise candidate is. Whom they wanted to field is caught in a murder case and is behind bars. Let the surprise candidate or anyone come, both parties (BJP and JD(S)) are ready for polls," Yogeshwar claimed.
