After a long wait, the Malayalam movie 'Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life' finally hits the marquee this week. The survival thriller has already caught the imagination of film lovers with its poignant portrayal of Keralite migrant worker, Najeeb, who is forced into slavery. Also hitting the screens this week are 'Renegade Nell' and multi-starrer 'Crew'. Here are the details.

1. Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life

Release date: March 28

The 16-year-old project 'Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life' by Blessy is finally coming to life. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Malayalam writer Benyamin. This intense drama traces the story of Najeeb Muhammad, a young man from Kerala who migrates to the Middle East in search of a better life but ends up stranded in the deserts of Saudi Arabia after being forced into slavery. Prithviraj's portrayal of Najeeb has already won the hearts. Amala Paul, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean Louis, and Rik Aby play pivotal roles in the film

2. Crew

Release date: March 29 

Delve into the life of three beautiful air hostesses, in 'Crew'. Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Tabu essay the roles of the air hostesses working for the airline company 'Kohinoor', which is facing bankruptcy. During one of their flights, they come across an unconscious man who has gold bars strapped to his chest. Watch the movie to find out what happens. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, "Crew" is packed with humour, adventure, and light-hearted entertainment.

3. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The fifth entry to the MonsterVerse franchise is 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.' The movie is a sequel to the 2021 film 'Godzilla Vs Kong.' Godzilla and Kong team up in this outing to defeat hidden threats on Earth and explore the origins of the Titans and the mysterious Skull Island. Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie promises breathtaking visual effects and intense action sequences. Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree, and Dan Stevens play pivotal roles in the film.

The blockbuster Malayalam movie 'Premalu' is arriving on streaming platforms. The movie revolves around Sachin and his romantic sojourn.  Naslen, Mamitha Baiju, Sangeet Pratap, and Akhila Bhargavan play pivotal roles. The movie was released in theatres on 9 February and has become the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam movie.

2. The Great Indian Kapil Show 

Release date:  March 30

Streaming platform: Netflix

Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover are reuniting with the comedy talk show 'The Great Indian Kapil Show.' Each week, celebrities will be featured along with a whole lot of comedy sketches during the show. Familiar faces from other shows like Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh are seen in the show.

3. Patna Shukla 

Release date: March 29 

Streaming platform: Disney plus Hotstar

Raveena Tandon helms the role of Tanvi Shukla, a small-time lawyer and homemaker who seeks justice to bring out the educational scam happening in Bihar. The plot revolves around the struggles and challenges of Tanvi Shukla to bring her professional and personal life together. The film has an ensemble cast, featuring Anushka Kaushik, Manav Vij, and Chandan Roy, among others. Arbaaz Khan is wearing the hat of a producer after four years. When asked about the film, Arbaaz Khan said, "Patna Shukla is a very interesting story, about a common woman’s uncommon fight. Her grit. The film is just a perfect fit."

4. Renegade Nell

Set in the 18th century, 'Renegade Nell' is an adventure action drama that revolves around a wrongfully accused woman, Nell Jackson, who becomes the most notorious outlaw in 18th-century England. But with the help of a magical spirit, Billy Blind, she realises she is destined for something bigger. The cast includes Louisa Harland as Nell Jackson, Frank Dillane as Charles Devereux, and Alice Kremelberg as Sofia Wilmot, among others.
