Ryan Gosling to perform 'I am Just Ken' at Oscars

Ryan Gosling is set to perform 'I'm Just Ken' at the 96th Academy Awards. The actor made his disappointment known when Gerta Gerwig wasn't nominated for best director for the film and Margot Robbie wasn't nominated for the best actress category. Gosling was nominated for the best actor in a supporting role and America Ferrera was nominated for best actress in a supporting role.

The Academy Awards will take place on March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. And will be hosted by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. The song has won a nomination for an Oscar for best original song. Another song from the film that has won a nomination for best original song is 'What Was I Made For?' by Billie Eilish and Finneas.

Barbie won the Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement. It also took home trophies for best actor in the male and female categories and best supporting actress for the People's Choice Awards. The movie's soundtrack also won three Grammys including best compilation soundtrack for visual media.

'I'm Just Ken' was written by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. The track also landed on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week at no 87. at the 2017 Oscars, Gosling and Emma Stone passed up the chance to perform 'City of Lights' from their Oscar-nominated film La La Land. The track went on to win the Oscar for best original song.
