Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey, on Wednesday, has been found not guilty in all nine sexual offense charges, by a jury at a London court.

The Oscar-winning actor has been facing charges of sexual assault, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

The actor had denied charges, claiming that the allegations were “absolute bollocks” and "madness." He alleged that the men who made the claims against him had financial motivations.

The actor's lawyer Patrick Gibbs told the jurors that it was "not a crime to have sex with someone of the same sex, because it's 2023 not 1823". Gibbs said the actor had been “tried by social media.”

After a four-week trial, the jurors deliberated for 12 hours and 26 minutes to arrive at the decision that the actor was not guilty.

Kevin Spacey broke down in the court after hearing the verdict and thanked the jurors.

I am humbled by the outcome today, the actor told reporters outside the court. "I imagine that many of you can understand that there's a lot for me to process after what has just happened today," he said.
