Sonam Kapoor's Delhi home robbed, cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.4 cr stolen: Reports

Actress Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja's Delhi home was robbed, with cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore being stolen, according to reports.

The robbery took place on February 11 and the complaint was lodged before the police on February 23, police statement said, NDTV reported on Saturday. "A complaint was made on 23.02.22 that there was a theft at R/o Harish Ahuja, Amrita Shergil Marg. They complained that some cash and jewellery combined worth 2.4 crore was stolen. They had noticed it on 11.02.22 but complained only on 23.02.22. Immediately FIR was registered and an investigation started. Teams have been formed and an examination of the evidence is underway. Further investigation is in process," the police said in a press release. According to reports, cops are questioning over 25 employees. Sonam's father-in-law Harish Ahuja, mother-in-law Priya Ahuja and Anand's grandmother Sarla Ahuja live here.

Sonam and Anand are expecting their first child. They made the announcement on social media recently, and shared adorable photographs from a maternity shoot. Sharing the photos, the couple wrote, "Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. On the work front, Sonam was last seen opposite Dulquer Salmaan in The Zoya Factor, which released in 2019.
