As cinema theatres reopen after restrictions amid the pandemic, it is not just the audience who is excited, but celebrities, too. From small screen actors to Bollywood stars, many took to social media to express happiness.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan had wished everyone good luck after the Maharashtra government allowed theatres to reopen. He had said: “It is a matter of great happiness that the cinemas have finally opened in Maharashtra . All of us were waiting eagerly for this. There are a lot of big films lined up for release. Wishing everybody great luck”.

Satyameva Jayate 2 director Milap Zaveri who is also gearing up to release his movie on the big screen said he was missing the 'smell of popcorn'. “It is so good to be back to the movies. It is absolutely great. I was missing the smell of popcorn and the audi seat. I would request everybody to come to the theaters to watch the movies. It is absolutely safe. Theatres are following all the SOP’s. Everything is wonderful.”

Television actor Rithvik Dhanjani said: “What a beautiful feeling it is. I am completely overwhelmed. I still can’t believe that our theatres have finally opened. We are back to normal. We can go back to the theatres and watch a movie. It’s a tremendous feeling. I'm happy.”

Many more celebrities have expressed joy by either promoting their movies or by wishing others the best.

Director Rohit Shetty who is known for his power-packed movies is all set to break the deadly silence in the cinema theatres with Sooryavanshi on Friday. He shared a video featuring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh and captioned it: “Now it's not about my film or your film, it's about our film industry, our theaters and our audience. Let’s come together for the magic of cinema”. The video that starts with Akshay questioning “yeh jagah yaad hai aapko?”(do you remember this place?) ends with good news of the movie’s big screen release. Sooryavanshi, the third installment in Shetty's cop universe, also features Katrina Kaif.
