Tamil actor-comedian Vivekh has been hospitalised in Chennai after he suffered a heart attack on Friday, according to reports.
He complained of chest pain and fainted at home, and was rushed to a private hospital. The actor's condition is critical, the Indian Express reported.
The comedian had taken the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. Speaking to media after getting the first shot, he said that he chose to get vaccinated to help dispel rumours. “I want to make a point that getting the COVID-19 vaccine is safe. It doesn't mean we will not get COVID-19 if we get vaccinated. We should still be careful once we take the vaccine. The vaccine assures that we do get affected severely," he had said.
Vivekh, a Padma Shree recipient, has acted with top Tamil heroes including Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith Kumar.
