KGF star Yash's family was embroiled in a land dispute that led to heated arguments with residents of Karnataka's Thimmalapura on Tuesday.

The residents of the village alleged that Yash’s parents were making a road for their property, encroaching upon the neighbour’s property, while the actor’s family maintained that they were only putting up a compound wall to protect their property, The Hindu reported.

Yash's family had hired bulldozers to build a road next to their farm to which the local residents took objections to, News Minute quoted the police as saying. According to reports, Yash, who was summoned to the police station, told that he had purchased the farm land to become a farmer later. “I am a son of this state, and if I want I will own property anywhere in this state,” he told reporters.

Yash is waiting release of the highly anticipated film KGF: Chapter 2, set to hit the big screens on July 16.
