Taapsee Pannu shuts down troll who called her ‘faltu heroine’

She was last seen in critically acclaimed film Thappad

72-Taapsee-Pannu Cricketing dreams: Taapsee Pannu will start shooting from mid-2020 for the biopic on Mithali Raj, the former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. The film, Shabaash Mithu, is going to be a difficult one for her, says Pannu, as she has never played the game. “Mithali has already told me that ‘I’d like to see how you play the cover drive’. So I dream of cover drives now,” she says with a laugh. Shabaash Mithu is being directed by national award-winning filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, known for his films Parzania and Raees | Abhishek Verma

Actress Taapsee Pannu is known to speak her mind, and she doesn’t shy away from shutting down online trolls. On Tuesday, Taapsee took to Instagram stories to share screenshots of abusive messages she received from a troll who called her a ‘’faltu heroine who doesn’t know acting’. Her savage reply to the troll has won the internet.

“Tujhe acting to aati nahi utha utha ke movie karti hai.” Replying to him, Taapsee wrote, “Exactly kya utha utha ke? Kyunki uthaya toh hai maine, standard but aapko shayad nahi samajh aaye (I have lifted the standards but you probably won’t get it).”

She was last seen in critically acclaimed film Thappad, directed by Anubhav Sinha.

She recently completed the shoot for Rashmi Rocket, in which she will be essaying an athlete. Her photos, which reveal her physical transformation for the role, were widely appreciated.  Sharing a picture, she wrote: “The boot camp like schedule 1 gets done , now running towards the lola family. Going to have a very chill cool stopover with the looopers. The best unwinding I could’ve asked for ! This is going to be ‘crazy’ fun. #RashmiRocket to #LooopLapeta.”

Looop Lapeta is another one of her upcoming films.
