Actor Prithviraj tests positive for COVID-19

Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has tested positive for COVID-19.

The actor was shooting for his upcoming movie Jana Gana Mana. The director of the movie Dijo Jose too tested positive, according to reports. Many from the crew were tested positive and that's how Prithviraj, who was asymptomatic, underwent the test.

Prithviraj had earlier tested negative for COVID-19 after he returned from Jordan after finishing shoot of Aaadujeevitham. The team was stranded in Jordan amid the global lockdown, and returned on a special flight as part of Vande Bharat mission. Two crew members of Aadujeevitham had tested positive. Prithviraj had taken to Twitter then to share the test report of him being negative for COVID-19.
