Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh said on Sunday that he was ‘highly perturbed’ by the AIIMS' panel’s report and would request the CBI to constitute a fresh forensic team in the case.

"Highly perturbed with AIIMS report. Going to request the CBI director to constitute a fresh forensic team,” he tweeted. "How could AIIMS team give a conclusive report in the absence of the body, that too on such a shoddy post mortem done by the Cooper hospital (in Mumbai) wherein the time of death is also not mentioned," he added.

In its conclusive medico-legal opinion to the CBI, the six-member team of forensic doctors had ruled out murder and termed it ‘death by suicide’. "It is a case of hanging and death by suicide. We have submitted our conclusive report to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)," Dr Gupta, who is also the chairman of the forensic medical board, had said.

Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. The Mumbai police that initially probed the case, had ruled out foul play and called it a case of suicide. The AIIMS panel was asked to look into the case again after the CBI took over the probe.

After Sushant’s family’s lawyer claimed the actor had been ‘strangled’ and accused the CBI of ‘delaying’ the probe, the investigating agency, on Monday, said that "no aspect has been ruled out". "The Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting a professional investigation related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in which all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date. The investigation is continuing," the agency had said in its statement.
