Actor Vishnu Vishal and badminton player Jwala Gutta got engaged on Monday. The actor announced the news on Twitter on Jwala Gutta's birthday.
Sharing photos of himself and Jwala, Vishnu wrote, "Happy birthday. New start to LIFE. Lets be positive and work towards a better future for us, Aryan, our families, friends and people around."

Vishnu Vishal was earlier married to Rajini Natraj and they have a son named Aryan. Vishnu and Rajini got divorced in 2018. Jwala was married to Chetan Anand and later got divorced in 2011.

Speaking to Times of India, Vishnu said, "I wanted to do something special for Jwala for her birthday and then at the spur of the moment, I thought why not surprise her by popping the question. It was something we had discussed before and last night, it just felt like the right moment. It was a spontaneous gesture and thankfully, she said yes."
