Singer Kanika Kapoor has tested positive for the coronavirus for the fourth consecutive time, as per reports. Her family said that they are worried over the results and that Kanika seems to be not responding to the treatment.

Doctors at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh said that her condition is stable.

Kanika’s family, however, are concerned for her and said they are praying for her fast recovery. She doesn’t seem to be responding to treatment and is unable to opt for advanced treatment because of the lockdown, they said.

The Bollywood singer had tested positive for COVID-19 the first after she returned from London on March 9. She travelled to Kanpur and Lucknow, and was hospitalised on March 20 when she developed symptoms.

Kanika had also hosted and attended parties, but test results of those who came in contact with her have come back negative. She was booked for negligence after attending the social events. Fans and media had criticised her for not isolating herself following her travel history.
