Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak may have impressed critics and garnered positive reviews, but the film appears to have failed to set the cash registers ringing.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn's period action drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero continues to have an impressive run at the box office. Set in the 17th century, the movie is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, the military leader of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army.

Tanhaji, which is Devgn's 100th film as an actor, has so far made Rs 107.68 crore at the box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film may cross Rs 150 crore mark. “Tanhaji is 💯 NOT OUT... Day 6 is higher than Day 1, 4 and 5... Terrific trending on weekdays indicates the power of solid content... Speeding towards ₹ 150 cr... Fri 15.10 cr, Sat 20.57 cr, Sun 26.26 cr, Mon 13.75 cr, Tue 15.28 cr, Wed 16.72 cr. Total: ₹ 107.68 cr,” he tweeted.

Chhapaak, however, managed to make only Rs 26 crore in six days. “#Chhapaak remains static on Day 6... Neither jumps, nor dips, despite partial holiday [#MakarSankranti festivities]... Fri 4.77 cr, Sat 6.90 cr, Sun 7.35 cr, Mon 2.35 cr, Tue 2.55 cr, Wed 2.61 cr. Total: ₹ 26.53 cr,” Adarsh said in another tweet.

"Thanks to each and everyone for making this happen! I'm humbled & grateful for all the love, support & appreciation,” Devgn tweeted on Thursday after his movie crossed the Rs 100 crore mark.
