Malayali transgender model-actress Anjali Ameer took to Instagram to share a quick video showing photographs of her 'awesome journey'. “My awesome journey #stigma #lonlyness #pain .......my transition,” she captioned it.
Known as India's first transgender actress, Anjali rose to fame with her performance in Tamil film Peranbu, and also her stint with Bigg Boss Malayalam season 1. Anjali, who had entered Bigg Boss on a wild card, had to leave soon due to health issues. However, she managed to make an impact in the minds of audiences and also opened up about struggles of the transgender community. She is currently pursuing her graduation at Malabar Christian College in Kozhikode.
On the work front, she is all set to play herself in her biopic that is expected to go on floors next year. According to reports, she will act as a boy and girl in the film that tracks her struggles while growing up, and her career.
