After making her debut in Tollywood recently with Nerkonda Paarvai, Bollywood star Vidya Balan is gearing up to make her online debut with a web series on former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
According to media reports, the Mission Mangal star had brought rights to a book on Indira Gandhi two years ago with the intention of making it into a web series. She said she did not know then that the web space was a completely different format.
The actor, however, has no idea when the series is likely to be completed. She said there is so much material available on the former prime minister to go through before making the series.

The web series will be directed by Ritesh Batra, who had directed The Lunchbox.
Mission Mangal has been hailed for Vidya's performance and has been performing well at the box office. Nerkonda Paarvai, a remake of Bollywood movie Pink, too has been receiving rave reviews. Vidya Balan plays the wife of Ajith in the movie.
