Oviya attained a star status and massive fan following after he stint with Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1. Her film, 90 ML, directed by Anita Udeep, releases on Friday.
After the trailer of the film released, it was widely criticised for its sexually explicit content. The trailer showed five female friends, having fun, drinking and smoking, and openly discussing their sex lives. Oviya had later said that the film might come as a 'culture shock' for many people. “It is just a movie, and if you don't have confidence in your culture, or if you are a male chauvinist, please don't watch 90ML," she had said.
Early responses have started pouring in on social media. Considering the extent of Oviya's fan base, the film is bound to find to favour among the younger audience.
