Aerospace major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) marked India's presence at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 in Hampshire, UK, by engaging with leading global aerospace companies and showcasing its indigenous defence platforms.

On the opening day of the airshow, a HAL delegation led by Chairman and Managing Director Ravi K. held discussions with the top leadership of GE Aerospace, led by its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer H. Lawrence (Larry) Culp Jr.

According to HAL, the discussions focused on strengthening the strategic partnership and ensuring support for critical requirements of the company's ongoing programmes.

The HAL team, including Satyanarayana M., CEO (Aircraft Complex), also met senior executives of Honeywell Aerospace, led by Dave Marinick, President, Engines & Power Systems.

The company said the engagement reaffirmed the commitment towards deeper collaboration and expediting supplies of critical components for HAL's key programmes.

Earlier, HAL had said it was looking to deepen cooperation with global aerospace leaders, including GE Aerospace, Eaton Aerospace, Honeywell, Safran, Martin-Baker UK, and MBDA, for strategic engagements and potential collaborations in aircraft systems, aero engines, avionics, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and high-technology manufacturing during the airshow.

Earlier in the day, Ravi inaugurated the Aerospace India Association (AIA) stall at Farnborough.

According to the company, “This milestone spotlights HAL's growing role as a nodal agency bridging domestic suppliers with global OEMs to build a robust, self-reliant aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.”

HAL said it is actively working to develop a world-class aerospace ecosystem by enabling MSMEs and private suppliers to meet global manufacturing standards.

The company is also showcasing several of its indigenous platforms at the airshow, including scaled models of the LCA Tejas, Prachand Light Combat Helicopter, Advanced Light Helicopter Rudra, Dhruv NG, and the Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), at the event.
