Warships, submarines, fighter aircraft steal show as Indian Navy showcases 'Anytime, Anywhere' might on Navy Day

 The Indian Navy's state-of-the-art warships and aircraft, including MiG 29K and MH 60R, participated in the 'Operational Demonstration' conducted as part of the Navy Day celebrations at Blue Flag Beach in Puri of Odisha on Wednesday.

The Indian Navy celebrates Navy Day on December 4 to commemorate Operation Trident, the audacious naval offensive conducted by the forces during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, specifically targeting the port city of Karachi.

The Navy displayed its operational prowess and capabilities, covering many aspects of naval operations by ships, submarines, aircraft, marine commandos, and Indian Army personnel at the operational demonstration.

The valour and courage of its personnel and their resolve to safeguard national maritime interests “Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow” was showcased at the event, which also highlighted the Navy's rich maritime history.

Other major attractions at the event included performances by the naval band, continuity drill, and hornpipe dance by SCC Cadets. The event culminated with the illumination of ships at anchorage followed by a laser and drone show at the beach.

Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces President Droupadi Murmu was the chief guest of the event, hosted by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and attended by senior Central and state government officials, military dignitaries, and the local populace.
