The Malayala Manorama Sambadyam Kerala Business 2026 featured a panel discussion with Co-Founder and COO of Prevelant AI, Arun Raj, and CEO of VST Tillers Tractors, Antony Cherukara. Titled ‘AI & Business: Reinventing the Way Businesses Work, Compete and Grow ', the discussion was moderated by Manoj Mathew, special correspondent at Malayala Manorama, and explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping business operations, competition and growth.

Both panellists, Raj and Cherukara, discussed the rapid impacts of AI on their varied organisations, an AI firm and an engine manufacturing firm. The discussion centred on the practical integration of AI across industries, particularly its potential to drive standardisation and streamline business processes.

Anthony Cherukara explained the idea of a contextual workbench. He said every company has its own story, circumstances and challenges, and that these must be taken into consideration when integrating AI into the business. In Cherukara’s words, AI has to be designed with a value proposition that serves that particular context.

Arun Raj clarified common misconceptions about Artificial Intelligence, emphasising that AI is not only an automation tool for physical tasks. He said it can be a great tool for efficient decision-making as long as it is familiar with the company’s context. He further stressed the importance of AI literacy, suggesting minimum AI certifications for business owners to ensure digital security and fraud prevention.

From changing the rules of competition to unlocking new possibilities, the panel examined how AI is rewriting the business playbook, while simultaneously challenging enterprises to keep pace.
