Meet the world's fastest Super SUV: Lamborghini Urus SE Performante
The latest release is a high-performance variant of the plug-in hybrid Super SUV, Lamborghini Urus SE
Lamborghini has unveiled the Urus SE Performante, a high-performance plug-in hybrid Super SUV boasting a combined output of 812CV from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and electric motor, setting a new torque record for the model. Key advancements include the AURA dual-chamber air suspension for reduced body roll and enhanced comfort, and the addition of a new Rally driving mode alongside existing Strada, Sport, Corsa, and EV modes, all designed to maximize driving excitement, particularly on loose surfaces. These enhancements contribute to its claim as the world's fastest Super SUV, with acceleration from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 312km/h. The Urus SE Performante's design, both exterior and interior, emphasizes "bold sportiness" and a driver-focused "Feel Like a Pilot" ethos, incorporating a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and a recalibrated eight-speed automatic transmission, while an India launch date remains unannounced, following the successful introduction of previous Urus variants and the current Urus SE.

Lamborghini recently unveiled the Urus SE Performante. It is the high-performance variant of the plug-in hybrid Super SUV, Lamborghini Urus SE.
The SE Performante is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a permanent-magnet electric motor, together delivering a combined system output of 812CV or around 800hp (59kW) and 1,000Nm of torque—the highest ever achieved in the model's history.
The vehicle introduces the AURA dual-chamber air suspension system to the Urus range, which halves body roll during fast driving and reduces vibrations by 25 per cent compared with the previous-generation Urus Performante, significantly improving ride comfort.
Compared with the Urus SE, the SE Performante introduces Rally driving mode, specifically calibrated to deliver "maximum driving excitement" on loose surfaces, joining Strada, Sport and Corsa modes, as well as EV mode for fully electric driving.
These features make the Urus SE Performante the fastest Super SUV in the world: it accelerates from 0–100km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0–200km/h in 10.8 seconds, with a top speed of 312km/h.
The SE Performante is the latest heir to a lineage that began in 2012 with the unveiling of the first Urus concept at the Beijing Auto Show, followed by the first production Urus, which debuted in 2017 and marked a milestone for Lamborghini.
In 2022, the Urus family expanded with the introduction of the S and Performante versions, followed by the Urus SE in 2024.
The design of the Urus SE Performante was developed around the concept of "bold sportiness," aimed at strengthening the visual connection between form and function.
The interior reflects the same dual character of the vehicle, with a sportier, more driver-focused layout built around the "Feel Like a Pilot" concept, a key element of Lamborghini's design DNA.
The vehicle features a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system with an electronically controlled central clutch. Power management is entrusted to an eight-speed automatic transmission, specifically recalibrated to emphasise the vehicle's sporty character.
Lamborghini has yet to announce an official India launch date, though one can be expected given that the SUV's non-hybrid predecessors have been sold in the country. Currently, the range-topping Urus variant in India is the plug-in hybrid SE, priced from approximately ₹4.57 crore (ex-showroom).
