With market volatility and mounting geopolitical tensions influencing the trader sentiment, knowing whether the Indian stock market exchanges are operational is crucial for planning investments. Previously, the stock market was closed for Good Friday on April 3.

Will there be trading tomorrow?

As per the official holiday calendar on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), April 14 is a holiday on account of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

Which means, both NSE and BSE will not be functional for equity, equity derivatives, and currency derivatives segments.

On Monday, Indian stock market saw a plunge of nearly 1 per cent, with Sensex tumbling over 700 points and Nifty down by over 200 points. The dip in the stock market indices can be attributed to the failed US-Iran peace talks. Reflecting the market sentiments, the Indian rupee dropped 0.7 per cent versus the U.S. dollar to 93.38.
