Albinder Dhindsa is set to take over as Eternal CEO in February 2026

After Eternal founder Deepinder Goyal announced his plan to step down as the CEO of company next year, all eyes are on his successor Albinder Singh Dhindsa.

Goyal is expected to step down on February 1, 2026. Founding Zomato as a restaurant discovery platform along with Pankaj Chaddah in 2008, Goyal has diversified the company to cover food and grocery delivery, quick commerce, event bookings and food supply over the years.

Who is Albinder Dhindsa?

Albinder Dhindsa is currently the CEO of Blinkit and will succeed Goyal as Group CEO of Eternal Ltd. He founded Grofers in May 2014, a company that later became Blinkit.

He has a personal net worth of $1.1 billion, which is approximately Rs 9,020 crore.

With roots in Patiala, Punjab, Dhindsa pursued mechanical engineering in IIT Delhi. He had an initial career at URS Corportation as transportation analyst and at Cambridge Systematics as senior associate (logistics and supply chain systems).

Later, he completed MBA from Columbia Business School. Soon, he joined Zomata as international operations head. In 2013, he co-founded Grofers with Saurabh Kumar. In 2021, the company rebranded itself as Blinkit as it migrated into a quick commerce model.

Zomato, which went public in 2021, acquired Blinkit the next year with Dhindsa at it CEO. Zomato Ltd in February 2025 renamed itself as Eternal Ltd.
