Indians can now subscribe to ChatGPT for a nominal price. Tailored specially for Indian users, ChatGPT Go has been rolled out for a nominal price of Rs 399 per month.
This low-cost subscription plan provides users with access to the platform's popular features for a budget-friendly price.
"OpenAI is today introducing ChatGPT Go, a new subscription plan designed to make advanced AI tools more accessible and affordable to users throughout India, as the adoption of OpenAI's tools grows rapidly across the country," according to a media release.
What features are included in ChatGPT Go?
Users can access all the features included in the free plan and also the following:
-Access to the flagship model GPT-5
-Create pictures using the image generation tool
-Extended access to file uploads, where you can work with more documents, spreadsheets and other files
-Work with advanced tools like Python for data analysis
-Longer memory to keep the conversations flowing
-Access to projects, tasks, and custom GPTs to organise work and track progress. Also helps in building personalised AI tools with more flexibility.
Compared to the free plan, ChatGPT Go would offer 10 times higher message limits, image generation, and file or image uploads with GPT-5.
The pricing is fixed at Rs 399 per month, which is billed automatically and can be canceled anytime.
How is it different from ChatGPT Plus?
ChatGPT Plus is priced at ₹1,999/month, and it is designed for advanced users. This includes expanded access to thinking and legacy models (e.g., 4o), and advanced tools like deep research, agent mode, and Sora video creation.
Users who are already ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscribers will be able to switch to ChatGPT Go.
