Schneider Electric invests Rs 200 crore to set up one of its largest campus globally in Bengaluru

French company Schneider Electric, which specializes in energy management and nextGen automation, inaugurated one of its largest employee campuses in Bengaluru. 

The campus covers an area of 630,000 sq. ft and features facilities including a Global Innovation Hub, Training Centre, R&D Centre, Skill Centre and Digital Hub. It can accommodate over 8000 employees. 

The company, which has more than 37,000 employees in India, also plans to set up two other campuses in Delhi and Mumbai in the near future. India is also the third largest market for the company globally. 

Peter Herweck, Chief Executive Officer, Schneider Electric, remarked , “I am delighted to open one of our largest employee campuses worldwide in India. This new investment underscores our dedication to accelerating our contribution to India’s rapid growth. We strongly believe in its potential as a springboard for innovative ideas benefitting local customers, while making a global impact.”

Deepak Sharma, Zone President - Greater India, MD & CEO, Schneider Electric India, said, “ Through this campus, we aim to provide an immersive, hands-on learning experience, offering comprehensive insights into energy management and industrial automation" 

The campus training centre will feature interactive demonstrations, workshops, and expert-led sessions, to help its employees, partners, and customers, gain practical knowledge and expertise in the latest technologies and solutions. 

This campus has off-site green power, energy-efficient chiller systems, and 100 per cent greywater reuse via a sewage treatment plant. The campus has also applied for LEED certification to aim for international sustainability standards.
