Working to address your concerns, says OnePlus after retailers threaten to stop sale

After several retail chains in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Gujarat threatened to stop the sale of OnePlus products after April, the company is taking initiatives to resolve the issues.

The South India Organised Retailers Association (ORA) had threatened to stop sales from May 1 allegedly due to unresolved concerns with the company.

ORA had alleged that, among other issues, consistently low profit margins on OnePlus products have made it challenging for retailers to sustain their businesses, particularly amid rising operational and financial costs.

Responding to their concerns, OnePlus, issued a statement saying, "OnePlus values all the support it has received from our trusted retail partners in the last 7 years. At present, we are working with our partners to address the areas highlighted, ensuring our continued commitment to a strong and prosperous relationship going forward.”

The association had said despite their persistent efforts to address their concerns, little progress or resolution has been achieved. "Promises made have not been fulfilled, leaving us with no recourse but to take this drastic measure."

ORA had pointed out that continued delays and complications in processing warranty and service claims have led to customer dissatisfaction and added burdens, despite repeated attempts to escalate and resolve those issues.
