Arvind Agarwal, CFO of Nykaa, resigns

He wants to 'pursue other opportunities in the digital economy' start-up space'

Arvind Agarwal, chief financial officer (CFO) of beauty e-retail firm Nykaa, announced his decision to step down, on Tuesday.

The company informed that Agarwal will step down on November 25 to "pursue other opportunities in the digital economy and start-up space".

He was appointed as Nykaa CFO in July 2020.

Falguni Nayar, the founder of Nykaa, lauded the role Arvind Agarwal played in the company and wished him luck for his "personal dreams."

Calling the years he spent with the company an "incredible journey", Agarwal said all his learning and experiences have set him up for pursuing different personal growth opportunities in the digital economy and start-up space.

"I wish Nykaa the very best for the growth path ahead and will always be a part of the Nykaa Family," he said.

Nykaa shares, which has been on a freefall for the past few days, ended 4.66 per cent lower at Rs 174.95 on Tuesday.
