While his initial goal was not to serve clients, his journey took a turn after one particular incident.
In this particular incident, one of his clients lost close to $250,000 while trading warrants. When a client was unable to pay for their losses, Collin Seow was liable as the stockbroker. Consequently he was required to foot the loss on his own - all while his second son was on the way, plunging him into even further despair during this challenging time.
With a burning desire to find a solution, Collin switched from “trading for income” to “trading for growth.” He then went on to develop a trading system to do this. After a long series of development and countless sleepless nights, the system was eventually completed to a high level that met his standards. The outcome of this single decision led to an exceptional outcome, so much that Collin was able to settle his losses in 18 months.
After one day realising just how much this solution could help others, Collin made the decision to train people on how to use the same system to become better traders. This is when The Systematic Trader was birthed. He stayed on at his initial role as a stockbroker for another 12 years and was awarded the “principal” remisier title and set up a proprietary trading company called Trading PLC ventures.
Training the typical everyday person on how to become a master at trading using proper risk management protocols has quickly become a strong passion of Collin’s.
