BMW India yet to open bookings for G 310 R, G 310 GS

BMW Motorrad India has denied media reports that the company dealers have started accepting bookings for the much awaited G 310 R and G 310 GS.

The fake news on the web that Motorrad dealers started taking bookings for the G 310 R and G 310 GS have been doing the rounds since yesterday. Bike enthusiasts and potential buyers who contacted dealers were told that the booking date would be officially announced once the launching date is confirmed. Both G 310 R and G 310 GS bikes were expected to be launched mid of July since BMW had showcased both G 310 R and G 310 GS at the 2018 Auto Expo.

Both bikes will be manufactured at the TVS' plant in Hosur. The reports have mentioned the booking amount for the bikes to be Rs 50,000.

Carrying the S 1000 R gene, G 310 R is a real powerhouse with its single-cylinder, four-stroke 313 cc engine. The engine will give 34hp of power to the bikes. The G 310 R is strong bike having a detailed aluminum swing arm. Wide tires provide maximum grip to the road as well as riding pleasure. The G 310 R with a kerb weights of 158.5kg offers better stability and easier control. The expected on-road price for G 310 R is around Rs 3 lakh.

Both G 310 R and G 310 GS posses reversed-cylinder design that slopes towards the rear wheel. The two models offer tubular steel frames, five-spoke alloy wheels and ABS. 

The kerb weight of G 310 GS is 169.5 kg. Developed by BMW Motorrad in Germany, the G 310 GS is expected to be priced around Rs 3.5 lakh in India.
