Winning prestigious titles has given her the opportunity to showcase her beauty, wits and compassion. Not one to settle for it, she wishes to use this rare platform to make a difference- empowering generations of women to live up to their fullest potential.
Conquering two main titles within a year, Mrs Universe Dubai 2022 & Mrs UAE World 2022 is no easy feat. Beauty for Pamala has always come from the confidence that we are all individually alluring and blessed with talents, “ I want women across the globe to realize that no matter our current situation, there is always hope and faith at the end of the tunnel. We all have the power within us to achieve anything we set our mind to. The size of our goals don’t matter, each one is an achievement to be proud of.”
This year, Pamala wishes to continue work for women empowerment and run charity campaigns that resonate with her. She wants to raise awareness about mental health and equality in society. Sharing about her exciting upcoming ventures, “This year I am looking forward to launch a few new businesses which are extremely close to my heart. I am waiting to disclose once all details are finalized! I want to represent fashion, luxury, travel & food brands in a big way in 2023!”
Her eyes lit up when we asked about her upbringing and her love for UAE. Sharing passionately she said, “I am a UK-born Indian with a heart filled with culture, but emotion derived from the UAE. Together, we represent a culture of perfection, exactly what the land represents.” For her national costume to represent UAE, she decided to use pearls. She wanted to create something original to represent the rich history. UAE pearls travelled the world to Rome, Venice, Sri Lanka and even to India and were one of the most sought-after accessories of the time. “It is hard to believe that pearl diving was once the driving force of the United Arab Emirates – a country renowned for becoming wealthy from oil. The pearl industry boomed from the late 19th century through to the second decade of the 20th century.”
A tour de force in herself, she has been bestowed with several awards including “The Successful Public Figure Award” 2022, “The Strong Woman’s Award” 2022, “Best Woman Of Influence” 2022 among numerous others. Shas recently joined the board of the First Ladies Forum and was a part of the Economic Development Summit Dubai 2022. She has also been honoured The Ambassador of Peace by United Nations and has joined Mrs Universe women empowerment forum under the high patronage of Emirates business woman council. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
