Food festival delights diners with flavours from Japan to Malaysia

New Delhi, May 3 (PTI) From delicate Japanese 'gyoza' and Korean 'bibimbap' to the bold flavours of Thai 'basil chicken' and Malaysian 'laksa', an ongoing food festival is offering Delhi-NCR diners a vibrant culinary journey across Asia, bringing together diverse regional traditions under one roof.
    "The Great Asian Food Festival", currently underway at outlets of Chowman, is presenting a curated selection of dishes from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Provincial China, promising an immersive dining experience rooted in authenticity and cultural diversity.
    The month-long festival, available across multiple cities including Delhi NCR, aims to transport diners to the heart of Asian cuisine through a mix of popular classics and lesser-known traditional dishes, reflecting the brand’s focus on crafting memorable dining experiences.
    "Last year, the response to our Asian Food Festival was truly overwhelming and we knew we had to come back bigger and better. The second edition of the Asian Food Festival is no less than a grand culinary celebration,” said Debaditya Chaudhury, managing director of Chowman.
    He added that the festival goes beyond Chinese cuisine to embrace flavours from across Asia.
    "Our aim is to offer guests more than just a meal; we want to transport them across Asia through an immersive dining experience that brings together bold flavours, vibrant ingredients and cultural authenticity," Chaudhury said.
    The menu features an eclectic spread of appetisers and mains, including 'pork and mushroom gyoza' and 'seafood tempura' from Japan, Korean specialities like 'bibimbap' and 'jajangmyeon', and Vietnamese dishes such as fresh summer rolls and 'banh bao'.
    From Malaysia, diners can sample 'laksa lemak' and 'char kway teow', while Thai offerings include 'phad bai kra prow' and 'tom yum fried rice'. The Provincial China selection highlights dishes such as 'chow chu green chilli lamb' and 'phoenix prawn tail balls'.
    The dine-in-only festival, with dishes starting at Rs 325, will continue till May 8.
