CM Naidu launches Andhra Pradesh Drone Mart portal

    Amaravati, Jul 14 (PTI) Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday launched the Andhra Pradesh Drone Mart Portal, making drone services accessible to the public in agriculture, infrastructure, disaster management and other sectors.
    The Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation developed the user-friendly platform, offering certified drone services like pesticide spraying, crop monitoring, land surveys and project site inspections.
    "In a step toward expanding technology-driven services for the public, the launch of Andhra Pradesh Drone Mart Portal will mark a significant push toward integrating advanced technology in key service sectors," said Naidu in an official release.
    Drone services also include mapping operations, disaster response and security surveillance by allowing easy access for individuals, farmers, government departments and other institutions in every district.
    Users can directly connect with service providers on the portal, negotiate service costs and select tailored packages based on specific requirements and location preferences.
    Naidu stressed the importance of affordable drone services, ensuring everyone benefits from advanced technology without excess financial burden, especially in rural agricultural sectors across the state.
    The CM directed officials to keep expanding the portal while adding new services and improving user convenience to support development in key economic sectors.
    The southern state is betting big on drone technology. It organised a drone summit in October 2024.
