UP Teen killed two injured in firing over land dispute in Farrukhabad 2 held

    Farrukhabad (UP) A 17-year-old boy was killed while his sister and uncle were injured in firing over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad district, police said on Sunday.
    The incident took place on Saturday in Ram Nagar Puthri village in the Nawabganj area when the accused opened fire during a dispute over the possession of a field.
    Akash Rajput was killed, while his sister Palak and uncle Mahavir were injured. The injured were admitted to Saifai Medical College for treatment, they said.
    Akash's father, Umesh Chandra Rajput, lodged a complaint against five villagers -- Satnam Singh, Satyaveer alias Sher Singh, Anar Singh, Amar Singh alias Sonu, and Omkar Singh.
    Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjay Singh said that multiple police teams were deployed on Saturday night to arrest the accused.    
    Three armed men were spotted near Haddua intersection, and when police attempted to apprehend them, they opened fire, the ASP said.
    In retaliatory firing, one of the accused, Satyaveer alias Sher Singh, was shot in the leg and arrested. Police also apprehended the another accused and seized a gun, a pistol and cartridges from them.
    Legal proceedings are underway, the ASP added.
