Delhi Police arrests youth wanted for murder over phone

New Delhi, Jun 29 (PTI) The Delhi Police has arrested a youth wanted for allegedly murdering a person earlier this month after an argument over a mobile phone escalated, an official said on Sunday.
The accused, Nitish (21), was apprehended from the Jheel Park area after a brief chase, the police official said.
He had been absconding since June 8 when he, along with his brother, allegedly stabbed the man to death in central Delhi's Prasad Nagar area.
"A PCR call was received on June 8 reporting a stabbing incident at Tikona Park. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead. Subsequently, an FIR was registered," said the officer.
During the investigation, a team arrested Roshan (22), who confessed to his and his brother's involvement in the crime, police said. While Roshan was apprehended soon after the incident, Nitish had fled to evade arrest.
A team received a tip-off about Nitish that he would visit his parents' house. A trap was laid, and Nitish was nabbed on June 27. Further investigation is underway, police added.
