* The SC grilled the Tamil Nadu government over the suspension of Additional Director General of Police H M Jayaram, who was directed to be arrested by the Madras High Court.
* The SC directed the Bihar director general of police and the Delhi police commissioner to provide adequate safety to a minor girl seeking annulment of her marriage.
* The SC granted interim bail to a Kerala-based journalist booked by the police for allegedly publishing a defamatory video against a prominent woman politician on his YouTube channel "Crime Online".
* The SC rejected a bail plea of Bulgarian national Ruslan Petrov Metodiev, accused of running a counterfeit currency racket in the national capital, saying such an action eats away the vitals of the economy.
* The SC dismissed a woman's anticipatory bail plea after she was booked on charges of impersonation and attempting to write the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Examination pretending to be her sister.
