TDP pays homage to founder NTR on 102nd birth anniversary at Mahanadu

Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh), May 28 (PTI) The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) paid rich tributes to its founder NT Rama Rao (NTR) on the occasion of his 102nd birth anniversary on Wednesday.

TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes to a life size statue of NTR on the stage of Mahanadu conclave here, accompanied by several party leaders.
“I am offering a rich homage to anna (brother) NTR on his 102nd birth anniversary, who showcased the self-respect of Telugu people to the world and laid a new path for welfare,” said Naidu in a post on X, calling the founder a social reformer.
The CM noted that the party is working towards achieving NTR’s goal of an egalitarian society, among other targets.
Later, addressing the conclave, Naidu said NTR is the ‘only’ leader worshipped by the entire Telugu community and his birth anniversary is celebrated as a festival by it all over the world.

History has never seen a single individual excel as a king in two fields — cinema and politics said Naidu, adding that NTR rose like Mount Everest in the history of Telugu cinema, captivating audiences for 33 years.

“In politics for 13 transformative years, NTR created a legacy like no other. He was a guarantee for the poor, a friend to farmers, and a voice for the voiceless,” he said.

NTR created a new political trend rooted in welfare, development, and good governance, said the TDP chief.

As we celebrate his birth anniversary during Mahanadu, we renew our commitment to carrying forward his ideals and vision, added Naidu.
