Mumbai, Mar 18 (PTI) Belrise Industries on Wednesday said it has acquired UK-based precision engineering group Chester Hall at an enterprise value of 13.2 million GBP, marking the company's strategic entry into high-value aerospace and space manufacturing.
Belrise UK Holdings Ltd, the step-down subsidiary of automotive component manufacturer Belrise Industries, signed a definitive share purchase agreement to acquire 100 per cent of the issued share capital of Chester Hall Precision Engineering Holdings Ltd, according to a company statement.
The acquisition delivers immediate and compounding strategic value to Belrise across three dimensions, including instant access to advanced aerospace precision manufacturing capabilities and certifications, besides a platform to serve global aerospace OEMs (original equipment makers) and tier-1 suppliers at scale, the company said.
At the same time, it will also help integrate Belrise's large-scale manufacturing in India and France.
"Chester Hall brings deep precision engineering capabilities and a sterling reputation within the aerospace supply chain, being recognized as a top supplier across all its major customers," said Sumedh Badve, Head of Strategy, Belrise Industries Ltd.
Chester Hall works with the world's largest aircraft and space OEM, as well as a leading French aircraft engine OEM, and serves as a single-source supplier for most of the programs it participates in, the company said.
"By combining their advanced engineering expertise with Belrise's manufacturing scale, we are creating a powerful platform to participate in the rapidly expanding global as well as Indian aerospace manufacturing ecosystem," he said.
This transaction is an important step in our strategy to build a truly diversified global engineering group, and to strengthen India's role in the international aerospace supply chain, he added.
