THE WEEK delivered a finely balanced issue that captured both the legacy and the evolving future of management education in India (‘New world, new challenges’, December 7). The guest columns added depth, underscoring that while AI and fiscal discipline matter, true leadership ultimately rests on judgment, empathy and civic responsibility.
The takeaway is clear: institutions must remain nimble, industry-connected and socially conscious if they are to become leaders tomorrow.

Today’s classrooms nurture curiosity and systematic thinking. Students work with data, design ventures that honour both society and the environment, and practise collaboration across borders.
Our management schools are beginning to cultivate leaders who approach complexity with humility, build networks rooted in purpose, and treat change as a shared responsibility. That evolution deserves recognition.
