CREATOR’S COMMENTS

Jan de Veen told THE WEEK that he created Golden Boy for fun and, therefore, the money from its sale would go towards distribution of food packets for the needy. “The sale of one burger can pay for 1,000 food packages,” he said. He added that the motivation to make the burger came once he saw that the current record (03.75 lakh) was for a burger that weighed 350kg. “For a record like this, you should make a burger that one person can eat,” said Jan de Veen.
