President Donald Trump on Tuesday called for "unconditional surrender" by Iran, saying the United States have full control of Iran's skies.
"Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured "stuff," the US President said, “Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA."
Trump went on to claim that the US knows the whereabouts of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei but said he will be spared for the time being. "We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," Trump posted on Truth Social.
However, he warned Iran against firing missiles at civilians or American soldiers. "Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" he said in the post.
Earlier in the day, Trump cut short his Canada visit for the G7 nations summit. However, he said his early departure had "nothing to do with" a potential deal between Israel and Iran, and that something "much bigger" than that was expected.
He said he was seeking "real end" to the conflict between Israel and Iran. "I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire. We're looking for better than a ceasefire," he said while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.
"They should have done the deal. I told them, 'Do the deal," he added. "So I don't know. I'm not too much in the mood to negotiate."
